Spacious Interior Design

Spacious Interior Design

Spacious Interior Design is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, created by designer Chia Hung Yu. This sophisticated design approach transforms living spaces by incorporating natural elements and maximizing the connection with the surrounding environment, particularly through the strategic use of French windows and transparent ceiling designs that facilitate abundant natural light penetration. The project, which garnered recognition with a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional spatial planning that creates an immersive experience reminiscent of wandering through a mountain forest. The design's distinctive features include an exquisite as-cast-finish mould utilized for indoor backup walls, contributing to a serene atmosphere that offers respite from urban living. The project's environmental consciousness is evident in its emphasis on natural lighting solutions that reduce reliance on artificial illumination. A notable element of the design is a specialized wine cellar, thoughtfully integrated to preserve the client's travel memories and wine-tasting experiences. The project, completed in 2014, spans 654 square meters and demonstrates remarkable material selection, including specially chosen wood elements that enhance the space's individual character while maintaining a comfortable, temperature-regulated environment. This award-winning design successfully overcomes various challenges in material implementation and achieves a perfect balance between practical functionality and aesthetic appeal, establishing new standards in residential interior design through its innovative approach to spatial harmony and environmental integration.
