Space Travel Technology Office is an innovative interior design project that reimagines conventional workplace architecture through a sophisticated fusion of futuristic aesthetics and functional workspace design. Created by designers Ciro Liu and Chlo'e Kao, this 82.5-square-meter office space transforms the traditional workplace paradigm by incorporating elements inspired by space travel technology and astronomical phenomena. The design's centerpiece features a conceptual interpretation of a wormhole, realized through custom perforated corrugated panels and strategic lighting that creates an illusion of infinite depth. The interior architecture employs a deliberate combination of white and curved walls to emulate a spacecraft capsule, while protruding streamer plates symbolize celestial bodies and asteroids, adding both visual interest and metaphorical depth to the space. The workspace layout adopts a distinctive Y-shaped configuration, positioning the central command station at its nexus, facilitating efficient workflow while maintaining the space travel narrative. The design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional integration of technological aesthetics with practical workspace requirements. Notable technical features include a specialized hand-laid seamless flooring system that mirrors the organic patterns of planetary surfaces, and silvery high-tech cones that penetrate the ceiling structure, creating a dynamic interplay between enclosed space and infinite possibility. The project successfully addresses the challenge of maximizing spatial efficiency while maintaining a cohesive thematic environment through the strategic use of compression techniques and material selection.
