Space Stack Residential House

Space Stack Residential House

Space Stack Residential House is an innovative residential architecture project that exemplifies contemporary living spaces through its sophisticated design approach and thoughtful spatial organization. Distinguished by its emphasis on boutique hotel-like qualities, this vacation residence in Taiwan represents a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and functional versatility. The design, created by Yu Wen Chiu and recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space Design, showcases exceptional spatial planning within its 10620x20440x3280mm dimensions. The project's distinctive features include a grey marble main wall in the living room that serves both aesthetic and spatial enhancement purposes, integrating clever storage solutions while creating visual expansion through the stone's reflective properties. The interior demonstrates a masterful combination of natural materials including stone, iron, solid wood, glass, and mirror finishes, creating an atmosphere that balances primitive aesthetics with contemporary luxury. Notable design elements include hidden door panels for storage rooms, guest bathrooms, and bedrooms, contributing to a clean, minimalist aesthetic while maintaining full functionality. The layout emphasizes open-plan living, with the dining room, living area, and bar counter designed to facilitate social interaction and entertainment. The bedroom areas incorporate elements reflecting the client's Indonesian heritage through thoughtfully selected stone pieces and custom suspended pendant lighting, creating an emotional connection to place while maintaining design coherence. This award-winning project, completed in February 2018, stands as a testament to innovative interior architecture that successfully balances personal style with hospitality requirements, earning recognition from the prestigious A' Design Award competition for its exceptional contribution to interior design excellence.
