Space Of Light Residence

Space Of Light Residence

Space of Light Residence is an exemplary contemporary residential interior design project that masterfully demonstrates the sophisticated interplay between light, space, and architectural elements. Located in Taichung, Taiwan, this 354-square-meter residence embodies a gallery-inspired aesthetic approach, characterized by its pristine white color palette that serves to accentuate the client's furniture and artwork collections. The design philosophy centers on creating a meditative atmosphere through the deliberate manipulation of light and shadow, drawing inspiration from contemporary museum spaces. The project's distinctive feature lies in its innovative treatment of structural elements, particularly in the ceiling design, where varying beam heights create dynamic light patterns that cast pristine lines across walls, adding dimensional depth to the cool-toned environment. The interior scheme harmoniously balances aesthetic refinement with practical living requirements, incorporating high-quality materials including imported timber flooring, Italian tiles, Austrian system flooring, and marble. The seamless corridor design enhances visual continuity and circulation, while the extensive use of white space creates a sense of visual relief and spatial expansion. This thoughtfully executed project, completed in March 2018, earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial design and innovative approach to residential architecture. The design successfully transforms the conventional notion of dwelling into a refined sanctuary that fulfills both the aesthetic and spiritual aspirations of its occupant, a graphic designer, through its minimalist yet warm atmosphere created by the careful balance of natural light, shadow play, and material selection.
