Sorkhab Packaging is an innovative eco-friendly packaging design for brow soaps that exemplifies sustainable luxury in cosmetic packaging through its thoughtful material selection and organic form language. Created by Iranian designer Parham Elahi Doust, this packaging solution harmoniously combines functionality with environmental consciousness by utilizing reclaimed hardwoods from the furniture industry, including Walnut, Beech, Ash, and Alder varieties. The design's smooth, organic contours draw inspiration from river stones, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing form that engages users through multiple sensory touchpoints. The packaging measures 10.5 cm in width, 5 cm in depth, and 3.5 cm in height, incorporating an ingenious magnetic closure system with three embedded magnets for seamless operation. This design approach not only reflects the vegan and cruelty-free nature of the contained product but also demonstrates a commitment to sustainable practices in luxury cosmetic packaging. The manufacturing process employs rotary CNC milling technology, optimized for cost-effective production while maintaining design integrity. The packaging creates a three-tiered user experience: visual attraction through its distinctive silhouette, tactile engagement through natural wood textures, and practical functionality through its intuitive opening mechanism. Recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, this design represents a significant advancement in sustainable packaging solutions, effectively bridging the gap between eco-consciousness and premium product presentation in the cosmetic industry.
