Soleil Levant Villa

Soleil Levant Villa

Soleil Levant Villa is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully blends Chinese and Western architectural aesthetics, completed in 2021 in Changsha, China. This 820-square-meter villa renovation, designed by Jianchao Liu, draws inspiration from Claude Monet's Impression of Sunrise, incorporating a sophisticated color palette of ocean blue and warm Hermes orange to create a harmonious living environment. The design philosophy emphasizes simplicity and magnificence while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail throughout the space. The project involved the comprehensive transformation of a decade-old building, featuring a strategic architectural intervention that maximized spatial efficiency through high-ceilinged living areas, an added tea room facing the lake, and thoughtfully positioned master bedrooms with lake views. The interior design showcases an artistic fusion of stone, fabric, and metal elements, complemented by a refined color scheme including camel, ivory, milk curry, black, and carbon gray tones, all contributing to an atmosphere of understated luxury. Notable features include elaborate courtyard and terrace spaces that seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor environments, with grand French windows that facilitate natural light penetration and landscape integration. The project, which earned an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning and innovative design solutions that successfully address the challenge of modernizing a traditional structure while preserving its cultural essence.
