Soho Hotel Interior Design

Soho Hotel Interior Design

Soho Hotel Interior Design is an innovative architectural interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of contemporary art and residential living spaces across five distinct floors. This sophisticated design intervention, created by art director Chia-Chi Kuo and team in 2020, transforms a residential building in Taipei into an immersive artistic experience, where each floor narrates a unique cultural story through thoughtful spatial design. The project masterfully incorporates diverse artistic influences, including elements inspired by Sylvie Fleury's colorful expressions, multicultural art deco aesthetics, street art culture, Giorgio Morandi's subtle palette, and Pierre Soulages's distinctive style. The design utilizes an array of materials and techniques, including neon lights, masonry, iron pipes, and creative installations, to craft distinct atmospheric environments. Each floor, measuring 16200mm x 6680mm, presents a carefully curated experience that bridges the gap between residential functionality and artistic expression. The project's innovative approach to cultural integration earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional contribution to residential design innovation. The design successfully overcomes the challenge of balancing practical living requirements with artistic integrity, creating spaces that serve both as functional residences and as galleries of contemporary cultural expression.
