This handcrafted ceramic ensemble, designed by Wooseok Kim and Yue Sun, represents a sophisticated fusion of Oriental artistry and contemporary design aesthetics. The set, created in 2015, challenges conventional teapot forms while celebrating the inherent properties of its primary material. Distinguished by its unglazed surface, which allows the natural characteristics of the purple clay to remain prominent, each piece is meticulously hand-formed using traditional plate molding techniques. The design philosophy emphasizes the raw beauty of the material while incorporating modern sensibilities in its form and function. The set's dimensions, carefully considered at 200x60x150mm, 280x35x70mm, and 200x60x160mm, reflect a thoughtful balance between aesthetic appeal and practical utility.
