Soft Light Home Residential Home

Soft Light Home Residential Home is an innovative residential interior design project encompassing 93 square meters of thoughtfully transformed living space in Singapore, exemplifying the harmonious integration of natural light and spatial functionality. The design's primary intervention involved the strategic removal of walls in three main areas, including the elimination of one bedroom, to create an open-concept living environment that maximizes natural illumination and spatial flow. The project's distinctive approach to space planning employs layered transitions between functional zones, allowing occupants to move seamlessly between areas while maintaining clear spatial demarcation. The design aesthetic is characterized by a sophisticated material palette featuring white walls that emphasize architectural curves, complemented by light wood flooring that contributes to an airy atmosphere. The master bathroom integration represents an unconventional design solution, utilizing tinted glass as a partial privacy barrier while maintaining spatial continuity. The kitchen serves as a focal point, featuring burgundy-toned cabinetry that creates a striking contrast with dark wood elements used throughout the residence. This design, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional consideration for the clients' artistic inclinations, incorporating bare walls as display surfaces for artwork and ensuring optimal acoustics for music appreciation throughout the connected spaces. The project's success in transforming a previously light-deprived apartment into a bright, positive living environment showcases the power of thoughtful interior architecture to enhance daily living experiences.
