Soda Port Restaurant is an award-winning fine dining establishment located in the Legend Palace Hotel at Macau Fisherman's Wharf, distinguished by its innovative fusion of Chinese and European cultural elements in its interior design. Conceived by interior designer Monique Lee, the restaurant spans 594 square meters and masterfully integrates Macau's rich architectural heritage into its contemporary spatial design. The establishment features two primary dining spaces: a private dining compartment called Tato with an open kitchen showcasing a pillar reminiscent of the Macao Tower, and a main dining hall incorporating a modern retro bar area and dining corner. The bar section is particularly noteworthy for its marble stone paving that pays homage to the historic Senado Square's flagstone streets, while featuring screen decorations that reinterpret classic stained glass patterns, evoking the ambiance of 1950s Macao. The restaurant's design philosophy emphasizes interactive dining experiences, with transparent kitchen areas allowing diners to observe culinary preparations. The space ingeniously incorporates cultural landmarks, including a representation of the Ruinas de Sao Paulo against a Portuguese-tiled feature wall, demonstrating exceptional attention to material selection and cultural preservation. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, showcases innovative use of materials, combining modern metallic elements with traditional construction materials to create a sophisticated dining environment that celebrates Macau's unique position as a crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures.
