Skyline Rhyme Hotel

Skyline Rhyme Hotel

Skyline Rhyme Hotel is an innovative architectural and interior design project completed in 2017 in Taichung city, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates urban skyline views with sophisticated interior spaces. The 215-square-meter hotel rooms showcase a harmonious blend of contemporary design elements, featuring a refined grey and white color palette complemented by warm wooden accents and elegant grey marble textures. The design philosophy centers on creating a contemplative atmosphere where the built environment seamlessly connects with the natural landscape, particularly evident in the thoughtful positioning of the structure to capture the dramatic cityscape against mountain ranges during twilight hours. The exterior design incorporates lowered marble walls adorned with carefully curated plantings and mature trees, creating a sophisticated transition between interior and exterior spaces. The project, designed by Jacksam Yang and Steven Kuo, demonstrates exceptional spatial awareness and aesthetic sensitivity, particularly in its treatment of natural light and the integration of organic elements. The interior spaces are characterized by their serene ambiance, achieved through the deliberate use of materials and textures that evoke a sense of timeless elegance. A notable feature is the incorporation of a reflective pond in the yard area, which creates dynamic interactions between water elements and surrounding greenery, further enhancing the property's tranquil atmosphere. The design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to hospitality design through its innovative use of space, material selection excellence, and thoughtful integration of natural elements.
