Skybox Design
Skybox Design is a method in 3D visualization where a large cube surrounds the scene, and each face of the cube displays a different image to create the illusion of a distant environment. Designers often use high-resolution panoramic photographs or digitally painted textures for these faces, which helps simulate skies, landscapes, or cityscapes without adding extra 3D geometry. In real-time rendering, such as in architectural walkthroughs or interactive visualizations, skyboxes help keep performance high because the images remain static while the user moves within the scene. Designers can use layered skyboxes to add effects like moving clouds or changing light, which gives a sense of time passing in a simple way.
