Sishuo Sales Office is an innovative architectural and interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of cultural elements, artistic expression, and functional space design. Located adjacent to Songshan Lake, this sophisticated sales office transcends its primary commercial function to become a multifaceted cultural destination that combines elements of a bookstore, art museum, and literary gathering space. The design, conceived by Kewei Wang, features a distinctive boat-shaped marble structure that creates an atmospheric environment reminiscent of traditional Chinese ink paintings, while incorporating contemporary design elements. The space is characterized by its dramatic architectural features, including a prominent halo device and thoughtfully designed skylights that create dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the interior. At the center of the space, an installation titled Thinking - Exploring serves as a symbolic bridge between landscape and humanities, paying homage to classical Chinese poetry and painting traditions. The project, which was completed in March 2010 in Dongguan, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its material selection and spatial arrangement, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The design successfully achieves its objective of creating a moderately high-end, thematic community space that serves both commercial and cultural purposes, reflecting the designer's philosophy of integrating social values with practical functionality. The innovative use of vertical space, particularly evident in the ceiling's wide nesting and circular lighting elements, creates a seamless connection between interior and exterior environments, while the overall design emphasizes the relationship between natural elements and built space.
