Sile Binicilik Tesisi Equestrian Center

Sile Binicilik Tesisi Equestrian Center is a contemporary architectural masterpiece situated in Sile, Istanbul, encompassing a vast 33,453 square meter expanse within a forest setting. This innovative equestrian facility, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, exemplifies the harmonious integration of modern architectural principles with natural surroundings. The complex features an L-shaped stable configuration that creates a functional courtyard housing horse lunging arenas and paddocks, complemented by a sophisticated indoor arena spanning 4,600 square meters and an outdoor arena of 3,200 square meters. The architectural design emphasizes sustainability and natural elements through the strategic use of wood, glass, and stone materials, while extensive skylights and transparent roof panels maximize natural illumination and ventilation. The facility's distinctive features include extended eaves creating semi-open spaces, a clubhouse with panoramic stream views, and an intelligently designed circulation system that seamlessly connects various functional areas. The entire complex is thoughtfully positioned to optimize wind direction for equine health, incorporating specialized flooring systems based on German engineering principles. The design successfully addresses multiple stakeholder needs by integrating a restaurant terrace overlooking both indoor and outdoor arenas, veterinary facilities spanning 270 square meters, and dedicated housing for horse keepers across 520 square meters, all connected by an elegant stone pathway system that enhances the facility's cohesive design language.
