Sichuan Guanghui Art Museum Art Museum is an exemplary architectural and interior design achievement that masterfully integrates Oriental aesthetics with contemporary spatial design principles. Completed in November 2018 in Chengdu, this sophisticated cultural institution spans an impressive 1,002 square meters in its central hall, with additional spaces totaling 1,550 square meters dedicated to exhibition halls and auxiliary functions. The museum's distinctive design, conceived by renowned designer Meng Li and team, draws inspiration from traditional Chinese literati landscapes and ink painting rhythms, translating these cultural elements into a flowing, dynamic architectural narrative. The structure features a remarkable multi-curved micro-topography roof that creates unique spatial experiences, while the interior design responds ingeniously to the building's irregular edges and variable shell through innovative use of materials and forms. The space planning demonstrates exceptional sophistication, incorporating a spiral upward relationship through the strategic deployment of linear wood-grain aluminum plates and curved gray lines, seamlessly connecting various functional areas including literary creation stores, halls, and café spaces. The design earned the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to contemporary museum design. The project's architectural language emphasizes natural flow and spatial harmony, achieved through the implementation of wave arrays consisting of wood-grain aluminium panels and wood-color aluminium profiles. The museum's design successfully addresses complex spatial challenges while maintaining functionality, incorporating multiple areas including a coffee light food space of 490 square meters, teahouse facilities, office spaces, and training areas, all unified under a cohesive design philosophy that bridges Eastern cultural values with modern architectural practices.
