Shuiboli Private Residence

Shuiboli Private Residence

Shuiboli Private Residence is an exemplary architectural and interior design project completed in March 2022, located in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, China, spanning an impressive 570 square meters. This sophisticated residential space, designed by Huang Yu, masterfully integrates contemporary design elements with natural inspirations, featuring a sculptural staircase as its central architectural statement that optimizes spatial flow while creating a striking visual focal point. The residence's design philosophy emphasizes the harmonious relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces, incorporating a thoughtfully constructed courtyard that seamlessly blends mountain and water elements to create a poetic atmosphere. The interior showcases an elegant material palette combining wood veneer, marble, and micro cement, with particular attention paid to the interplay between natural and artificial lighting throughout the day. Notable design elements include a double-height stairwell that enhances spatial breathing room, large French windows that frame the outdoor landscape, and carefully selected furniture pieces that promote both comfort and sustainability. The dining area exemplifies sophisticated material contrast through its combination of metal and wooden veneers, while various art installations throughout the space contribute to its spiritual and emotional resonance. Environmental consciousness is reflected in the design through elements such as polar bear-inspired decorations that reference climate change awareness, and the use of traditional Italian handcrafted furniture pieces that emphasize natural material processing. This exceptional private residence, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetic sophistication, and environmental consciousness, setting a new standard for contemporary residential design.
