SHOW CAFE Retail is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies contemporary retail space design through its distinctive use of color psychology and spatial arrangement. Located in Taipei's Zhongshan District, this architectural intervention masterfully employs a striking lake-blue ceiling treatment that spans the entire overhead space, creating an unconventional spatial experience while minimizing visual distraction through the elimination of unnecessary linear elements. The 27-meter by 5-meter space, with a height of 3.6 meters, features floor-to-ceiling windows that strategically incorporate natural greenery views throughout the interior, effectively enhancing spatial depth perception and establishing a harmonious dialogue between interior and exterior environments. The design, created by Wei Lun Wang and Chia Ying Li, showcases a sophisticated material palette including wood, steel, marble, and woven vinyl, demonstrating a careful balance between classical architectural details and contemporary design sensibilities. This retail environment, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in commercial space design through its innovative approach to color application, material selection, and spatial planning.
