Shimmering Ripple Model Room
Shimmering Ripple Model Room is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies modern spatial aesthetics through its innovative treatment of points, lines, and surfaces, creating a harmonious dialogue between space and light. Located in the Binhuwan area of Hanyuan County, Ya'an City, this 141-square-meter residential space masterfully integrates contemporary design principles with artistic elements to create a ceremonial atmosphere. The design's foundation comprises grayish-white walls and warm gray wood veneer, establishing a sophisticated base palette that is thoughtfully complemented by light pink accents and artistic decorative elements. The project's distinctive features include an open-plan layout that seamlessly connects the kitchen and dining areas, enhancing spatial flow and social interaction. A notable innovation is the master bedroom's open cloakroom design, which incorporates metal and glass wardrobes with decorative linear lighting, effectively dissolving traditional spatial boundaries while maintaining functional efficiency. The interior's artistic merit is further elevated through carefully curated elements such as hazy hanging decorations, striped carpets, and marine-inspired ornaments, including crystal plates, coral adornments, and shell mirrors. Completed in January 2020, this project, which won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship in its execution of modern design principles while creating an environment that reflects the tranquility of its lakeside setting. The design's sophisticated approach to spatial planning and material selection creates an atmosphere that balances luxury with livability, effectively transforming a residential space into an artistic sanctuary that celebrates the unity of indoor and outdoor environments.
