Shimmer Residential House

Shimmer Residential House

Shimmer Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of work and family life in contemporary metropolitan living. The design's distinctive feature lies in its semi-open spatial core, strategically positioning the workspace at the central point to connect seamlessly with public areas such as the living room and dining room. This thoughtful arrangement manifests as a sophisticated glass display box, maintaining both transparency and functionality while facilitating family interaction through carefully considered sight lines and circulation paths. The interior aesthetic is characterized by natural earth tones, incorporating wood and grey elements to create a calm, rational atmosphere. The design employs sophisticated material transitions and architectural details, including embedded light strips and metal accents, which contribute to a refined nocturnal ambiance. Winner of the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, this residential project addresses the complex challenges of modern urban living through its innovative approach to spatial organization. The design's success lies in its ability to balance professional functionality with domestic comfort, featuring dual-entrance workspaces, beveled corners for improved circulation, and a multi-level lighting system that creates versatile atmospheric conditions. The project's material palette and architectural detailing demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, with black mirror surfaces and iron wire elements creating visual depth and spatial layering, while maintaining a cohesive design language throughout the interior environment.
