Shimao Wisdom Door Exhibition Center
Shimao Wisdom Door Exhibition Center is an innovative architectural and interior design achievement that exemplifies the convergence of modern technology and philosophical design principles. Located in Ningbo, Hangzhou, China, this sophisticated exhibition center serves as a gateway to two high-rise landmark buildings dedicated to technology and innovation. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the cyclical nature of the universe, embodying the concept that everything is interconnected through an endless void. The center's aesthetic is characterized by a striking black and white palette, featuring glass walls, black marble flooring, and vertical shimmering threads that create a distinctly modern technological ambiance. The facility encompasses multiple functional areas strategically distributed across two floors, including an entrance hall, display screens, core stage, negotiation areas, and specialized rooms for VIP interviews and media interactions. A notable architectural feature is the iconic black art installation that envelops the spiral staircase, creating an illusion reminiscent of mountain reflections on a serene lake. The interior design, recognized with a Gold A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully integrates light, shadow, and artistic elements through a flowing streamline structure that connects various functional zones seamlessly. The space is equipped with intelligent hardware facilities and IoT capabilities, reflecting its role as a premier venue for artificial intelligence product launches and technological exhibitions. The design team, led by Grace Kwai, successfully created an environment that balances functional requirements with artistic expression, resulting in a space that serves both as a practical exhibition venue and an embodiment of contemporary design innovation.
