Shijiazhuang Vanke Sales Exhibition Center

Shijiazhuang Vanke Sales Exhibition Center is an innovative architectural and interior design project completed in 2019, located in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, China, that reimagines the traditional concept of a sales exhibition space by integrating elements of contemporary lifestyle and cultural engagement. The 1,500-square-meter facility, designed by renowned interior designer Neville Yung, represents a significant departure from conventional sales centers through its thoughtful incorporation of multifunctional spaces that include a coffee house, retail area, and library. The design philosophy draws inspiration from urban young people's lifestyle preferences, particularly their affinity for café culture as a respite from fast-paced city life. A distinctive feature of the space is its hexagonal ceiling design, derived from the molecular structure of coffee compounds, creating an engaging visual rhythm through non-uniform arrangements that harmonize with the solid wood flooring below. The project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional innovation in its approach to material selection and spatial organization. The design team overcame significant challenges, including a compressed 35-day design period, by implementing efficient solutions and utilizing recyclable materials to maintain both quality and cost-effectiveness. The space distinguishes itself through unique elements such as strategically placed dolls throughout the interior that inject vibrancy and energy, while the deliberate positioning of building models in the rear area encourages visitors to engage more deeply with the space before encountering sales-oriented elements. This innovative approach to commercial space design effectively balances functional requirements with spiritual and cultural elements, creating an environment that resonates with contemporary urban lifestyles while maintaining its primary purpose as a sales exhibition center.
