Sheraton Kunming Deluxe Five Star Hotel
Sheraton Kunming Deluxe Five Star Hotel is an exemplary architectural and interior design achievement located in the core business district of Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, completed in 2020 and recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious hospitality project, spanning 100,000 square meters, masterfully integrates local cultural elements with contemporary design sensibilities, drawing profound inspiration from the ancient Tea-Horse Road and the Honghe Hani Rice Terraces. The interior design, conceptualized by renowned designer Luo Dan, features an innovative spatial arrangement that harmoniously blends traditional Yunnan craftsmanship with modern luxury, encompassing 1,117 superior rooms, themed accommodations, and various suites. The hotel's distinctive design language manifests through organic curves, landscape patterns, and a sophisticated interplay of materials including marble and metal, creating dramatic spatial experiences that narrate the region's rich cultural heritage. The lobby serves as a testament to this design philosophy, where oriental imagery seamlessly merges with modern textures, while flexible curves provide artistic tension and vitality to the surrounding environment. The property's comprehensive amenities include extensive meeting and banquet venues totaling over 140,000 square meters, complemented by swimming pools, bars, fitness centers, and diverse dining establishments. The design's success lies in its thoughtful integration of technology, history, and culture, presenting local customs and humanistic spirit through innovative interpretations of traditional elements, earning recognition from the A' Design Award for its excellence in spatial design and cultural sensitivity.
