Shenzhen Jiangangshan Hill Park Wayfinding Signage System
Shenzhen Jiangangshan Hill Park Wayfinding Signage System is an innovative environmental graphic design solution that harmoniously integrates wayfinding elements within a natural park setting, distinguished by its artistic interpretation of Henri Rousseau's impressionist style. This sophisticated signage system, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, exemplifies the delicate balance between functionality and aesthetic sensitivity in environmental design. The system features meticulously crafted stainless steel sign boards measuring 2200x520x90mm, with bases of 700x800x600mm, incorporating permeable pierced designs that create engaging silhouettes within the wooded landscape. The design's distinctive approach employs low-contrast colored silhouette art effects to seamlessly blend with the natural environment, offering a gentle, hidden wayfinding solution that preserves the park's ecological experience. The system's technical execution demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, utilizing high-quality metal materials with superior hardness and toughness to achieve artistically pierced and integrally bent appearances without welding or creases. Particularly noteworthy is the child-friendly design consideration, featuring rounded edges and thoughtfully positioned lower heights that encourage safe interaction. The implementation creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadows between the illustration-silhouette sign boards and the surrounding woodland, establishing a tranquil, eco-friendly atmosphere that resonates with the concept of harmony between human intervention and natural environment. The project, completed in April 2020 in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, represents a significant advancement in environmental graphic design, demonstrating how wayfinding systems can enhance public spaces while maintaining ecological sensitivity and artistic merit.
