Sheathing The Sword Residential House

Sheathing The Sword Residential House

Sheathing the Sword Residential House is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully combines contemporary craftsmanship with neo-classical elegance, created by renowned designer Chu-Hsin Tsai. Encompassing 427 square meters, this sophisticated dwelling seamlessly integrates various design elements to create a harmonious living space that received recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space category. The residence's centerpiece is its living room, which features an innovative wall construction of meticulously arranged stone elements, balanced by the warmth of wooden elements that create a perfect equilibrium between cool and warm materials. The space is distinguished by its concentric stereoscopic ceiling that creates a dramatic dome-like momentum, engaging in visual dialogue with a circular dining table below. Notable architectural features include thoughtfully positioned glass panels along wooden door edges, enabling subtle visual connectivity between public and private spaces while maintaining distinct boundaries. The master bedroom continues the residence's refined aesthetic, incorporating a flat wooden ceiling that emanates a sense of tranquility, complemented by delicate fabric textures and sophisticated underlighting effects. The bathroom showcases exceptional craftsmanship through its natural stone construction and strategic lighting design, with black marble delineating functional zones and embedded storage solutions that exemplify modern artistic sensibility. The overall design philosophy emphasizes low-key luxury while maintaining practical functionality, creating an ideal environment for both private relaxation and social gatherings, demonstrating excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and lighting design.
