Shaw Contract Group Atlanta Showroom Showroom + Office

Shaw Contract Group Atlanta Showroom Showroom + Office is an innovative architectural interior space that exemplifies the seamless integration of form and function in commercial design. This 5,458-square-foot facility, recognized with a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a groundbreaking approach to experiential showroom design. The space is anchored by a sculptural staircase that serves as both a functional element and an artistic centerpiece, drawing inspiration from carpet loom mechanics and creating an elevated platform for product viewing. The design philosophy revolves around awakening the senses, with each architectural element carefully crafted to be thought-provoking and interconnected. The complex curves of the staircase, mimicking yarn movement through carpet production, are complemented by a floor-to-ceiling fiber art installation that celebrates raw materials and enhances visual engagement. This multifunctional space serves as a sophisticated merchandising backdrop, accommodating product knowledge presentations, industry events, and professional meetings while maintaining exceptional design flexibility. The showroom's innovative layout optimizes space utilization and incorporates sustainable design practices, creating an environment that not only showcases products effectively but also serves as an inspiration to the architecture and design community. The project, winner of the prestigious A' Design Award, demonstrates excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and experiential design, setting new standards for commercial showroom architecture.
