Shangrao Seazen Wuyue Plaza Nightscape Lighting Design
Shangrao Seazen Wuyue Plaza Nightscape Lighting Design is an innovative architectural lighting project that masterfully integrates local cultural elements with modern illumination techniques, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category. This comprehensive lighting design scheme, completed in 2019, harmoniously incorporates Shangrao's rich water culture, dragon mythology, and architectural heritage into a sophisticated nightscape installation. The project encompasses a vast area of 137,377 square meters, utilizing an intelligent lighting control system that seamlessly blends environmental light sources, LED technology, and metal halide components to create dynamic visual experiences. The design's distinctive approach manifests through the creative use of points, streamlines, and light-shadow interplay on the building's curtain wall facade, effectively portraying the convergence of three rivers and the region's characteristic canola flower landscapes. The implementation demonstrates exceptional environmental consciousness through its energy-efficient design, incorporating 18W LED spotlights, 70W metal halide underground lights, and 0.9W LED modules strategically positioned to minimize energy consumption while maximizing aesthetic impact. The lighting scheme operates in two distinct modes: a daily operation mode for essential illumination and safety, and a festival mode for special celebrations, showcasing the design's versatility and practical functionality. This sophisticated urban lighting solution not only enhances the architectural presence of the plaza but also creates an immersive nocturnal environment that celebrates local heritage while embracing contemporary design principles.
