Located in Shanghai, China, this 3,345-square-meter space masterfully incorporates the concept of filming equipment, specifically tracking shot rails, as its primary design theme. The cinema's distinctive aesthetic is characterized by copper-colored metal tubes that extend throughout the entire facility, serving both decorative and functional purposes. In the lobby area, these tubular elements dynamically transform into practical features, with some descending to create seating arrangements while others expand to form ticketing counters. The sophisticated integration of elongated lighting fixtures along these tubes not only enhances the visual appeal but also provides strategic illumination throughout the space. The auditorium design demonstrates particular attention to detail, featuring wall decorations composed of metal tube segments with illuminated endpoints, creating an immersive atmosphere that pays homage to the technical aspects of filmmaking. The project, which earned a Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases an exemplary use of materials including metal, clear mirror, etched sand glass, marble, artificial stone, steel, laminate, and acoustic panels.
