Sen & Gallery Showroom,Gallery,Atelier is an innovative retail and exhibition space located between Osaka and Kyoto, Japan, that transcends traditional commercial environments by creating a unique dialogue between organic and inorganic elements. Designed by Tomonobu Kawakami, this 51.8-square-meter space represents a sophisticated interpretation of contemporary retail design, earning recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The space's distinctive design philosophy centers on the relationship between clothing and human interaction, featuring a minimalist aesthetic achieved through achromatic colors and industrial materials. The showroom's architectural elements include curved Light Gauge Steel (LGS) walls that create fluid spatial transitions, reflecting the brand's essence of flowing design. Notable features include a central LGS table suspended by wire, custom-designed display furniture incorporating block work and glass, and a thoughtfully positioned bonsai tree at the entrance, symbolizing the universality of organic materials in fashion. The interior employs a carefully curated material palette including AEP paint, deck plate ceiling with spray finish, and mortar flooring with clear dust-proof coating. The space functions not merely as a retail environment but serves as a dynamic platform for fashion discourse, experimental displays, and creative collaboration, hosting events that bring together designers, artists, and the community.
