Secret Land Private Reception House

Secret Land Private Reception House

Secret Land Private Reception House is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully balances functionality and aesthetics in creating a sophisticated masculine retreat. Designed by Tien Wan Li, this private reception space serves as an exclusive gathering venue for the male host to entertain friends, watch sporting events, and enjoy wine tastings in a thoughtfully curated environment. The design philosophy emphasizes minimalist decoration and the authentic beauty of natural materials, particularly showcased through the distinctive use of cast iron elements in screens, display shelves, and cabinet spaces. The interior's layout follows a zero-dead-angle, fully open pattern that facilitates seamless social interaction through a triangular circulation flow connecting the kitchen, living room, and dining room in equal proportions. Notable design elements include a glass brick screen at the entrance that creates a transitional threshold between exterior and interior realms, warm wood dining furniture, an olive-colored arc sofa with low backing, and strategically placed indirect lighting. The space's material palette combines cool tones of gray, cement, and concrete with warmer elements, creating a balanced atmospheric composition. The project, completed between November 2022 and January 2023 in Taiwan, has been recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial design and material application. The design's sophisticated integration of weathered rust aesthetics with contemporary functionality creates an environment that evolves naturally over time, allowing the space to develop character alongside its occupant's collecting habits and lifestyle patterns.
