Concept Warning System is an innovative vehicular safety mechanism that represents a paradigm shift in automotive warning systems, designed to prevent rear-end collisions through predictive alerts. This groundbreaking system, developed by Indian designer Anjan Cariappa M M, introduces a crucial improvement to conventional brake light design by incorporating an orange warning light that activates before the traditional red brake lights. The system, known as PACA (Predictive Alerts for Collision Aversion), operates by monitoring the driver's foot position relative to the accelerator pedal, triggering an orange blinking warning light when the driver lifts their foot, signaling potential braking action. This preemptive warning system becomes operational at speeds above 60 kilometers per hour and can be seamlessly integrated into existing vehicle designs through a microcontroller-based system housed within the Center High Mount Stop Lamp (CHMSL). The compact unit, measuring approximately 50mm x 20mm x 50mm, utilizes dual-color LEDs and heat-resistant plastic casing, requiring minimal modification to existing vehicle architecture. The innovation's significance lies in its ability to provide crucial additional reaction time for following vehicles, particularly at higher speeds, potentially preventing chain-reaction accidents.
