Sailing On The Ocean Residential House

Sailing On The Ocean Residential House

Sailing on the Ocean Residential House is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully combines contemporary craftsmanship with nautical aesthetics, completed in Macau in 2018. This 200-square-meter residence, situated adjacent to a riverside, showcases an extraordinary manipulation of three-dimensional space through sophisticated line work and zero-chroma color schemes. The design, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, features a harmonious integration of premium materials including comprehensive marble furnishings, black granite accents, and iron lighting fixtures. The spatial arrangement is particularly noteworthy for its symmetrical layout, where the long, narrow public area is thoughtfully divided between a reception area and a kitchen-dining space. The interior's aesthetic draws inspiration from luxury cruise ship cabins, particularly evident in the master bedroom's dressing room design. Distinguished by its meticulous attention to detail, the space incorporates Chinese-style screens, variegated ceiling lighting, and a sophisticated TV wall installation. The dining area introduces circular elements that contrast effectively with the living room's square motifs, while dark brown wood flooring serves as a unifying element throughout. The design's sophisticated lighting scheme, combining both direct and indirect illumination, creates an atmosphere of understated luxury, while the strategic placement of storage solutions, including a wine cabinet, maximizes spatial efficiency while maintaining aesthetic coherence.
