Sail Vision Sales Center is an innovative architectural and interior design project that exemplifies contemporary spatial design principles through its distinctive approach to retail experience. Located along Guanggu Avenue in Wuhan, China, this 690-square-meter structure features a dramatic sloping roof design, transitioning from 14.7 meters at its highest point to 2.8 meters at its lowest, creating a dynamic visual statement. The design employs linear deconstruction theory to challenge traditional retail space conventions, incorporating a sophisticated interplay of geometric forms, particularly triangular elements that cascade throughout the interior. The space is ingeniously organized across five interconnected layers that progress from larger to smaller dimensions, creating a funnel-like flow that naturally guides visitors through the exhibition areas. The interior's lighting solution demonstrates particular innovation, utilizing a lamp-hole-free roof system that employs diffuse reflection principles, with ground lamps and device lights transforming white triangle blocks into primary illumination sources. The design earned recognition with a Gold A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional contribution to retail architecture. The project's sophisticated material palette combines metal and wood elements, featuring 71 thin metal wires and 20 thick woodwinds in the hollow ceiling that create a dynamic, nest-like atmosphere. This sales center represents a departure from conventional retail design through its intentionally unstable and tension-filled spaces, specifically designed to stimulate creativity and future-oriented thinking among its predominantly young, campus-adjacent demographic.
