Saige Garden Residence Private Residence

Saige Garden Residence Private Residence is an exemplary interior design project that masterfully balances functionality and aesthetic elegance within a 184-square-meter living space. Completed in 2012 by designer Bo Li, this sophisticated residential project demonstrates an innovative approach to contemporary urban living through its dramatic layout and thoughtful spatial organization. The design philosophy draws inspiration from classical Chinese literature, specifically the Tang Dynasty poet Liu Yuxi's Reading On My Modest Room, incorporating themes of spiritual contentment and self-discipline into its architectural expression. The residence features a distinctive L-shaped overhead bridge constructed from clear glass, black steel mirror, and emery laminated mirror, which creates a natural transition between active and quiet zones while establishing a strong spatial hierarchy. The interior's aesthetic is characterized by a harmonious interplay of black and white linear elements, complemented by strategic touches of mustard yellow that inject vitality into the space. Notable design elements include an open kitchen with an extended buffet area that promotes social interaction, and an impressive white grid bookshelf system that extends across the second-floor study area and ceiling. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in spatial planning through its integration of storage solutions, functional zones, and aesthetic considerations, creating an environment that successfully balances the demands of modern urban living with moments of tranquility and contemplation.
