Safari Calendar is an innovative paper-craft calendar design that transforms traditional time-keeping into an interactive three-dimensional art piece. Created by art director Katsumi Tamura and designer Kohei Miyasaka, this sophisticated design consists of six sheets featuring monthly calendars on their sides, which can be assembled into striking animal figures through precise folding and joining techniques. The calendar, measuring 200mm in height and 170mm in width per sheet, exemplifies the intersection of functionality and aesthetic appeal in contemporary design. Launched in July 2013 for the 2014 calendar year, this design demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship in paper engineering and visual communication.
