Sabbioni Branding Promotional Branding is a comprehensive visual identity system developed to commemorate a commercial printer's 60th anniversary, exemplifying the intersection of traditional printing craftsmanship and contemporary sustainable design practices. This sophisticated branding project, created by Paul Robb and Moira Bartoloni in 2023, demonstrates exceptional innovation in combining letterpress and linotype printing techniques with modern typography to achieve a distinctive contemporary aesthetic. The project encompasses multiple components, including an anniversary book, agenda, and presentation box, all meticulously designed with sustainability at its core. The design system utilizes water-based inks and minimal paper waste, incorporating 100% recycled materials and FSC-certified paper, printed in a sophisticated palette of two Pantone colors, CMYK, and seven-color processes. The physical manifestation of this branding system is realized through precisely specified dimensions: a presentation box measuring 250 x 360 x 75mm, an anniversary book at 230 x 280mm, and an agenda sized at 210 x 270mm. The project's exceptional merit in visual communication and sustainable design practices has been recognized with a Golden A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to combining heritage printing techniques with contemporary design sensibilities.
