Revival Of Indian Architecture Head Quarters Of An Indian Mnc

Revival of Indian Architecture Head Quarters of An Indian Mnc is a groundbreaking architectural project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Indian building techniques with contemporary technological innovations. Located in Pune, Maharashtra, India, this 1,250-square-meter structure represents a significant advancement in sustainable architectural design, featuring 45 masonry domes of 25 square meters each and over 100 arches constructed from recycled fly ash blocks. The building's revolutionary structural system eliminates conventional concrete slabs, beams, and columns, replacing them with ancient arcuate construction methods, resulting in a remarkable 94% reduction in steel usage. The design incorporates a central open courtyard that naturally divides the building into two sections while facilitating passive cooling and natural ventilation. The façade features innovative planters at each floor level, creating a cascading effect of flowering plants that serve both aesthetic and functional purposes by screening windows from harsh sunlight and cooling incoming air. The building's integration with its environment is further enhanced through the implementation of a sophisticated drip irrigation system utilizing recycled water from the sewage treatment plant. Designed by Anto and Sayali, this Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining historical architectural wisdom with modern engineering precision, setting new standards for sustainable corporate architecture. The structure's exposed brick finish showcases the intricate details of its construction system, while MEP services are seamlessly concealed within the core structure, eliminating the need for false ceilings and claddings.
