Restpoint Airport Seating is an innovative personal seating solution designed specifically for airports and public spaces, created by industrial designer Dr. Hakan Gürsu with assistance from Eren Şenyurt. This sophisticated furniture design addresses the contemporary needs of airport passengers by providing individual privacy and functionality in terminal waiting areas. The design features a distinctive shifted arrangement of separate seating units that minimizes disturbance between passengers, creating personal zones for relaxation and productivity. Constructed with stainless steel and chrome-plated body components, complemented by PU cushioned seating, the design emphasizes both durability and comfort. Each unit incorporates essential modern amenities including dedicated working surfaces and integrated power outlets for electronic devices, responding to the increasing digitalization of travel experiences. A notable feature is the secure luggage storage area, addressing common traveler concerns about baggage safety in public spaces. The design's collapsible armrest doubles as an advertising space, adding commercial functionality to its practical features. The modular, demountable nature of Restpoint facilitates efficient transportation and installation, while its contemporary aesthetic harmonizes with modern terminal architecture.
