Residence Of Yang Residential House

Residence Of Yang Residential House

Residence of Yang Residential House is an exemplary residential renovation project that masterfully transforms an existing structure into a contemporary living space, demonstrating innovative solutions to architectural constraints. The design, created by Yan Teng Chen, ingeniously converts the inherent limitations of the beam-column structure into advantageous design elements, particularly evident in the distinctive oblique-sectioned TV wall that creates a fluid connection between the living and dining areas. The interior design philosophy centers on maximizing spatial efficiency while maintaining aesthetic harmony, achieved through a sophisticated combination of white surfaces and natural wood grain finishes that establish a warm, nature-inspired atmosphere. The renovation's distinguishing features include strategically placed storage solutions along walls, open-plan public areas that enhance spatial perception, and thoughtfully positioned lighting elements that amplify natural illumination. The design's circulation pattern has been meticulously planned around the residents' daily routines, incorporating practical storage solutions that seamlessly integrate with living spaces. A notable design element is the wood grain bookcase that replaces conventional wall structures, featuring open shelving that personalizes the space while maintaining functional efficiency. The project, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, successfully addresses common renovation challenges such as moisture control and pipeline reorganization while creating an environment that promotes family interaction and comfortable living through its open, flexible layout and careful attention to material selection and spatial planning.
