Reconstruct Posters is an innovative series of graphic design works that explores the intersection of geometric abstraction and social commentary in the post-epidemic era. Created by designer Haku Wang, these visually striking compositions employ fundamental design elements such as triangles, circles, and squares, combined with highly saturated monochromatic color schemes to create deliberately ambiguous spatial arrangements that challenge viewers' perceptions. Drawing inspiration from Kandinsky's theoretical work on points, lines, planes, and colors, the series consists of three distinct posters that address themes of community reconnection and social anxiety in contemporary society. Each poster in the series serves a specific narrative function: the first utilizes graphic filling and stacking techniques to represent collective anxiety, the second constructs an abstract camera-like form to document societal transformation, and the third reconstructs traditional cultural elements through geometric abstraction to symbolize human interconnectedness. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, demonstrates exceptional technical execution through its implementation in both print and digital formats, with the print versions produced on premium Takeo Saigen paper at A2 size (420 x 594 mm) and digital versions optimized for display at 1080 x 1800 pixels. The design's significance lies in its ability to bridge conceptual thinking with visual expression, creating a new framework for perceiving and interpreting the world through geometric abstraction while addressing pressing social issues in the post-pandemic landscape.
