‘…quel Genio Di Arturo!’ Emotional Lighting
'…quel genio di Arturo!' Emotional Lighting is an innovative illumination design that reimagines the mythical Aladdin's lamp through contemporary aesthetics and advanced technology, created by Italian designer Stefania Vola in collaboration with resin modeler Michele Garofalo. This sophisticated lighting fixture, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design category, represents a masterful fusion of traditional storytelling and modern craftsmanship. Constructed from black carbon fiber epoxy resin with interior gold leaf finishing, the lamp incorporates cutting-edge LED technology and touch-sensitive controls for seamless operation, allowing users to turn the light on/off and adjust brightness with minimal contact. The design, measuring 340mm in width, 120mm in depth, and 150mm in height, is versatile enough to function as a table lamp, wall fixture, or suspended installation. Dedicated to and named after the renowned quick-change artist Arturo Brachetti, the lamp embodies a poetic interpretation of fantasy and reality, making it particularly suitable for creating evocative atmospheres in both private residences and public spaces such as hotels, restaurants, and spas. The design's distinctive feature lies in its complex carbon fiber shell construction, which requires meticulous hand-finishing operations, while its intentionally minimalist base emphasizes the flowing, contemporary interpretation of the classical form. Protected by international patent, this emotional lighting piece exemplifies the intersection of artistic vision and functional design, encouraging users to interact with its luminous intensity while metaphorically expressing their desires, thus bringing to life the fantastic elements hidden within everyday experiences.
