Quality Makes Life Residential Space
Quality Makes Life Residential Space is an exemplary residential interior design project completed in December 2020 in Taipei, Taiwan, that masterfully demonstrates the intersection of luxury living and thoughtful spatial design. The 105.8-square-meter space, designed by Yi-Chih Lee and Ting-Chieh Su, embodies a philosophy where quality emerges from authenticity and the pursuit of pure form. The design is distinguished by its sophisticated material palette, featuring a harmonious blend of wooden lattice work, marble walls, and custom Italian painted surfaces. The entrance is characterized by a striking vertical wooden lattice design paired with marble walls, creating a compelling visual flow that guides residents and visitors through the space. The public areas showcase an artful combination of stone and wood grains, while a multi-purpose room is elegantly separated by a glass sliding door incorporating built-in belt lighting for privacy control. Notable technical achievements include the integration of three concealed air conditioning units within an irregularly patterned ceiling design, and a masterfully crafted closet in the master bedroom that exemplifies the sophisticated marriage of woodwork and hardware through a two-layer board design with custom hardware handles and fabric elements. The living area features a sofa backdrop wall finished with specialized Italian painting, enhanced by linear lighting elements that elevate the space's aesthetic quality. The project, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, is particularly noteworthy for its meticulous attention to detail, innovative use of oversized glass elements, and the creative integration of various materials including Silestone and veneer in its custom furnishings. The design successfully creates an organic interaction between human inhabitants and their environment, incorporating essential greenery elements that enhance the living experience while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic throughout the space.
