Qingdao Rain Club For Leisure

Qingdao Rain Club For Leisure is a distinguished interior design project that exemplifies the fusion of Neo-Oriental Art Deco aesthetics with contemporary luxury entertainment spaces. Located as a supporting entertainment venue for hospitality purposes, this innovative design draws profound inspiration from fourteen ancient Oriental cities, each represented through distinctive floral motifs that create a unique cultural narrative. The architectural and interior design scheme, completed in 2017 by designer Kai Huang, masterfully incorporates natural marble and brushed stainless steel to depict Orient-featured elements such as peacocks and boa patterns throughout the public spaces. The project's design philosophy stems from the Oriental mystical concept of A piece of illusion comes from the wonderland scenery which is not real, manifesting this ethereal quality through careful material selection and artistic execution. Each private room within the establishment presents a distinct cultural theme, featuring custom-designed elements from wall treatments to ceiling configurations, complemented by hand-painted wallpapers, stained-glass windows, themed carpets, and carefully curated decorative ornaments. The space, which required an extensive two-month design period and three-month construction phase, achieves a super five-star standard through its meticulous attention to detail and cultural integration. The project's excellence in interior space design was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial design and cultural representation. The design successfully creates an atmosphere where visitors can experience a sense of historical grandeur while enjoying modern comfort, effectively bridging traditional Oriental aesthetics with contemporary luxury entertainment requirements.
