Qi Series Package is an innovative beverage packaging design that harmoniously blends traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary carbonated tea drinks, drawing inspiration from the ancient concept of the 24 Solar Terms in East Asian lunisolar calendars. This sophisticated packaging system, crafted for a 350ml aluminum bottle utilizing silkscreen printing techniques, demonstrates a profound understanding of cultural heritage while meeting modern consumer needs. The design philosophy centers around the concept of Qi (汽), which in Chinese culture represents natural energy and life force, cleverly connecting this traditional concept with a series of tea-carbonated beverages. Each variant in the series corresponds to one of the 24 Solar Terms, creating a unique seasonal drinking experience that allows consumers to connect with traditional temporal markers through different tea and carbonation combinations. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design Category, exemplifies excellence in combining functional efficiency with cultural storytelling. The project, completed over four months in Beijing, successfully overcame the challenge of creating a packaging system that authentically reflects Eastern culture while maintaining contemporary appeal. The aluminum construction and silkscreen printing technique ensure both durability and visual appeal, while the systematic approach to design allows for clear differentiation between seasonal variants while maintaining brand cohesion.
