Puro Pet Care Robot

Puro Pet Care Robot

Puro Pet Care Robot is an innovative multifunctional robotic companion device designed to address the challenges faced by single-person households with pets, particularly focusing on canine care and environmental maintenance. This sophisticated automated system, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Pet Care, Toys, Supplies and Products for Animals Design category, integrates three primary functions: interactive pet engagement, automated cleaning, and air purification. The device, measuring 370 x 370 x 100mm with a complementary station of 500 x 700 x 150mm, employs advanced technology including cyclone motors, camera systems, and gyroscopic sensors to deliver comprehensive pet care solutions. Designed by Taeuk Ham in Seoul, Republic of Korea, this intelligent robot features a treat-dispensing mechanism that helps alleviate pet anxiety and encourages physical activity during the owner's absence. The system's innovative design incorporates dual-purpose cyclone motors that not only clean floor surfaces but also purify the air through a specialized filtration system integrated into the charging station. The robot operates in three distinct modes: Play Mode for pet interaction and treat dispensing, Clean Mode for maintaining floor cleanliness, and Air Purification Mode for environmental maintenance. This comprehensive approach to pet care was developed in response to extensive research indicating that single-person households face significant challenges in managing pet care and maintaining proper sanitation in limited living spaces. The integration of IoT connectivity, precise treat-dispensing mechanisms, and automated cleaning functions represents a significant advancement in automated pet care solutions, particularly addressing the psychological and physical well-being of pets in urban environments.
