Pure Tranquility Residential House

Pure Tranquility Residential House

Pure Tranquility Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project completed in 2023, situated adjacent to a tourist pier in a harbor city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This 226.461-square-meter dwelling exemplifies a harmonious blend of minimalist aesthetics and functional design, characterized by its thoughtful integration with the natural environment and emphasis on creating a serene living space. The design philosophy centers on the concept of a full-age house, where bright and interconnected living spaces foster family togetherness while maintaining visual tranquility. The project's distinctive approach to addressing urban environmental challenges is evident in its sophisticated use of eco-friendly mineral paint, which serves dual purposes of odor absorption and humidity regulation. The interior design strategically employs an abundance of white building materials, maximizing natural light reflection and reducing dependency on artificial lighting. The space planning incorporates four rooms, a dedicated reading area, and generous open spaces for children's activities, all unified by a deliberately restrained color palette that promotes mental relaxation. The design successfully addresses the challenges of coastal living, implementing advanced technologies to mitigate issues related to ocean humidity and salinity while ensuring optimal air quality, temperature control, and circulation. This Iron A' Design Award-winning project, created by designer Ke-Chung Li, demonstrates exceptional consideration for environmental impact and human wellness, featuring connected living and dining areas that symbolize family unity, along with carefully planned storage solutions that maintain spatial clarity and organization. The design's emphasis on natural light, clean lines, and minimal decoration creates an environment that allows occupants to experience pure tranquility, effectively counteracting the sensory overload common in urban settings.
