Pure Life Residential House

Pure Life Residential House

Pure Life Residential House is an award-winning residential interior design project completed in September 2021 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, that exemplifies sophisticated minimalist design principles through its thoughtful integration of space, light, and materials. The 126-square-meter residence encompasses three bedrooms, one living room, one dining room, two bathrooms, one kitchen, one dressing room, and a study room, demonstrating exceptional space optimization within an urban setting. The design's distinctive approach employs a low chroma color scheme that creates a pure, uncluttered aesthetic environment, where the interplay between black and white is masterfully balanced through strategic use of grayscale elements that soften color boundaries and add spatial depth. Floor-to-ceiling windows serve as primary design elements, allowing natural light to flood the interior while creating a serene escape from urban chaos. The project showcases innovative solutions, such as replacing traditional television placement with a projection screen, transforming the TV wall into a multifunctional storage and display cabinet. Natural materials, including imported tiles, wool stainless steel, and thin slate, are harmoniously incorporated throughout the space, while the flowing texture of stone effectively links the living and dining areas. The private spaces feature increased wood elements to create warm, comfortable sleeping environments. This sophisticated design, created by Kai Yao Wang, earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its excellence in spatial design and material selection. The project's success lies in its ability to balance functionality with aesthetic refinement, creating a peaceful residential environment that seamlessly combines rigidity and flexibility through clean lines and thoughtful material selection.
