Punk Health Regimen Criteria Interactive Book
Punk Health Regimen Criteria Interactive Book is an innovative interactive publication that explores the contradictory lifestyle patterns of contemporary youth through a satirical lens, combining illustrations and physical objects to create a dictionary-style guide to unconventional health practices. This thought-provoking work, designed by Huijie Fan and recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Print and Published Media Design category, presents a critical examination of modern young people's approach to health and wellness, particularly focusing on the phenomenon of 'punk health' - a paradoxical lifestyle where harmful habits coexist with remedial health practices. The 115mm x 169mm publication employs a unique combination of Bible paper, transparency paper, and PVC materials, bound through thread sewing, to create an engaging multi-layered reading experience. The design incorporates black humor to address serious societal issues, featuring dictionary-style entries complete with phonetic guides, detailed compositions, and usage instructions for various health-related items. The book's innovative design approach effectively communicates the complex relationship between youth anxiety, social pressure, and self-destructive behaviors while maintaining an educational framework. Through its careful integration of physical objects alongside descriptive text, the publication creates an interactive experience that encourages readers to reflect on contemporary lifestyle choices and their implications. The work represents a significant contribution to the discourse on youth culture and health practices, earning recognition for its creative approach to addressing modern societal challenges through design.
