Puls Vario Office

Puls Vario Office

Puls Vario Office is an innovative research and development workspace that revolutionizes traditional office design by incorporating cognitive research principles and Austrian architectural heritage. Spanning 1000 square meters, this pioneering office environment is structured around four distinct zones - retreat, dialogue, create, and share - each meticulously designed to support different stages of the innovation process. The architectural concept draws inspiration from the traditional Austrian Vierkanthof farmhouse, featuring a square-shaped courtyard layout that promotes collaborative work while maintaining spaces for individual focus. The retreat area facilitates deep thinking and individual research, while the dialogue zone enables informal discussions and collaborative ideation. The create zone functions as a high-tech laboratory where engineers can prototype and test new products, and the share zone serves as a platform for knowledge dissemination and team inspiration. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category represents a significant advancement in workplace design, implementing a non-hierarchical structure with only three job roles - product owners, coaches, and subject matter experts - to streamline innovation and eliminate traditional organizational bottlenecks. The design, completed in March 2018, demonstrates exceptional integration of human-centered principles, technological capabilities, and spatial optimization, creating an environment that actively supports and accelerates the development of innovative products while fostering team cohesion and creative thinking.
