Puer Community Real Estate Sales Center
Puer Community Real Estate Sales Center is an innovative architectural and interior design project located in Yunnan, China's renowned tea-producing region, exemplifying the harmonious integration of cultural heritage with contemporary design principles. The 2,700-square-meter facility, completed in October 2020, features a distinctive curled tea-leaf-shaped architecture with an expansive glass exterior wall, rising to a height of 10 meters. The centerpiece of this award-winning design is a monumental suspended wooden structure that serves as both a visual focal point and functional layout orientation device, covering over 2,000 square meters of space. This sophisticated installation, weighing more than 100 tons, comprises tens of thousands of precisely engineered components that create dynamic interactions with natural light through the glass roof, producing ever-changing shadow patterns throughout the day. The design, led by Qingtao Ji and team, incorporates innovative structural solutions inspired by traditional Chinese wooden architecture, allowing for efficient installation and maintenance while ensuring structural integrity. The project, which earned the Platinum A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional technical achievement in its construction, requiring custom computer software for modeling and precise structural calculations. The interior space seamlessly continues the building's exterior concept through the strategic use of wood lines representing abstract leaf veins, symbolizing the tea leaf's maturation process. This sophisticated interpretation of local tea culture, combined with advanced architectural techniques and sustainable design principles, establishes the sales center as a landmark example of culturally responsive commercial architecture.
