Privacy Protector Erasing Pen

Privacy Protector Erasing Pen

Privacy Protector Erasing Pen is an innovative writing instrument designed to safeguard personal information on delivery receipts and pressure-sensitive papers, combining the functionality of a traditional pen with an integrated privacy protection mechanism. This sophisticated device, developed by Liu Mingde-Team and recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Idea and Conceptual Design category, represents a significant advancement in addressing privacy concerns in the era of e-commerce and frequent package deliveries. The design comprises three essential components: an alcohol storage barrel integrated within the pen's body, a precision spray head, and an exterior cleaning cloth attachment. Crafted from corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, the pen measures 150mm x 15mm x 15mm and operates through an ingenious mechanism where users can activate the alcohol spray via a trigger at the pen's end. The design emerged from comprehensive research indicating that approximately 70% of express delivery receipts utilize pressure-sensitive paper (NCR), which can be effectively cleared using ethanol. This innovative solution addresses the growing concern of personal information security in the logistics sector, where global express deliveries exceed 30 billion annually. The pen's development, completed between August and November 2016, demonstrates a thoughtful approach to combining practical functionality with privacy protection. When activated, the device dispenses a precisely controlled amount of alcohol onto the signed area, allowing users to effectively remove their personal information using the attached cleaning cloth, thereby providing a simple yet effective method of maintaining information security in everyday transactions.
